Asolo Repertory Theatre Announces Juliana Han Witt as Director of Development
TOC Arts Partners is pleased to announce that Asolo Repertory Theatre (Peter Rothstein, Producing Artistic Director; Ross Egan, Managing Director.), in Sarasota, Florida has appointed Juliana Han Witt as Director of Development following our extensive national search led by Vice President of Executive Search, Cynthia Fuhrman.
A seasoned and mission-driven fundraising executive, Han Witt brings more than 20 years of experience across the nonprofit arts and culture section, spanning performing arts, museums, and arts education. She has held leadership roles at many of the nation’s most distinguished institutions, including The Metropolitan Opera, The Philadelphia Orchestra, National Dance Institute, and The Studio Museum in Harlem, as shared in a release from the company.
Throughout her career, Han Witt has successfully led teams in securing transformational gifts, forging major institutional partnerships, and expanding community engagement. Most recently as Chief Advancement Officer at Atlanta Ballet, she rebuilt the fundraising program, launched multi-year fundraising initiatives, led annual multi-million-dollar campaigns, and deepened the organization’s philanthropic culture through authentic board and donor engagement. Her work has consistently emphasized strategy, collaboration, and equity-driven storytelling to connect donors with the transformative power of the arts.
“As we build on recent successes and look toward Asolo Rep’s next chapter, Juliana’s record of leading high-performing teams, stewarding major donors, and designing comprehensive campaigns will be invaluable,” said Ross Egan, Managing Director in the company’s release.
“I am truly honored to join Asolo Rep at this exciting moment in its history,” said Juliana Han Witt in the company’s statement. “Asolo Rep’s commitment to bold storytelling, exceptional artistry, and meaningful community engagement resonates deeply with me. “The Asolo Repertory Theatre has long been one of the most admired LORT theatres in the country, and one I’ve been fortunate to visit several times over the 25 years” said Cynthia Fuhrman. “Working with the leadership team there to find the right person to join their amazing team was a joy, and Juliana joins the theatre at an exciting time. I’m thrilled to have been part of bringing her to this exciting role.”
